For four generations (since 1900), Les puits artésiens Brunette & Frères (Brunette the water expert)has been drilling and installingresidential, commercial and municipal artesian wells and providing high-performance stable water supply systems.
An artesian well is created by drilling into a layer of earth to reach pressurized ground water known as artesian ground. This ground water is usually found at a depth of more than 100 feet.
An artesian well usually provides a reliable and stable quantity of water throughout the year. Ground water provides a much more abundant supply of drinking water than surface water.
In fact, an artesian well is the preferred option since it is less susceptible to bacterial contamination than a surface well where water intake from a spring may be easily exposed to infiltration problems.
